ABOUT US
The Black Gentlemen's Social Club was established to create a supportive environment for Black and men of color in Barrie, facilitating social interaction, mutual support, and the exchange of knowledge. Our mission is to ensure that no individual faces mental health challenges, educational obstacles, or parenting issues in isolation. We firmly believe in the strength of community collaboration and the inherent value of collective upliftment.
We strive to exemplify resilience and fortitude, drawing inspiration from models such as the Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus. Our strategic objective is to extend our reach and influence nationally, thereby enhancing growth and cohesion within our network.
All revenue generated will be allocated toward maintaining our website, funding events, and accumulating resources for the establishment of a dedicated facility. This initiative aims to contribute to a robust foundation for the Black community and secure participation in Kempenfest, further solidifying our presence and impact.

The Rules of How to Treat Each Other When We Are Around Other Black Men
In any space where mutual respect is shared, how we treat each other reflects our values and unity. When we are around other Black men, it becomes even more important to foster a sense of brotherhood, understanding, and encouragement. This means extending respect in how we speak, listen, and act. It’s about leaving egos at the door, embracing empathy, and lifting each other up. A simple gesture of acknowledgment, such as a nod or a friendly greeting, shows solidarity. Avoid conversations or behaviours that tear others down; instead, choose words and actions that build trust and connection. Remember, treating each other well sets the tone for the respect we expect from others. Together, we can create spaces where strength, dignity, and camaraderie prevail.
